The Bungalow Kitchen by Michael Mina Brings Social Dining to Tiburon

Experience The Bungalow Kitchen by Michael Mina Tiburon

One of Southern California’s favorite hospitality brands is heading North with the opening of The Bungalow Kitchen by Michael Mina in Tiburon, California. Similar to its recently opened Long Beach predecessor, this outpost will also be home to a thoughtfully crafted menu by award-winning Chef Michael Mina and concept by hospitality veteran Brent Bolthouse. Guests will dish on brunch, dinner, and cocktails in this community-driven space along the San Francisco Bay.

            The Concept

Each of Bungalow Hospitality Group’s locations has enjoyed success due to their affinity for creating inviting spaces fit for revelry. The Bungalow Kitchen by Michael Mina has added an additional layer of appeal in creating a menu of cuisine that complements the brand’s signature style of California living. The first Bungalow Kitchen by Michael Mina, located in the Belmont Shore neighborhood of Long Beach, aimed to take advantage of the city’s waterfront locale allowing guests to dine with a sparkling view. The Tiburon location will provide more of the same, this time overlooking San Francisco’s pristine Bay. Bolthouse and Mina hope to enhance the nightlife scene of the sleepy town, with help from the Tiburon Town Council’s decision to subsidize a ferry service that will run during late night hours for guests traveling from San Francisco.

            The Experience

With almost 12,000 square feet and a capacity of 300 people, the multi-level destination offers a range of spaces for guests to enjoy, including 5,000 square feet of spacious patios with waterfront views. Thanks to the vision of acclaimed designer Martin Brudnizki, the property’s interiors bring chic, bohemian elements to an experience built around social dining. The “community clubhouse” feel aims to unite guests in eating, drinking and being merry in a stylish atmosphere. The upstairs bar space, Salon, provides guests with a sleek and cozy habitat for lounge seating, weekend DJs, billiards, and a fireplace for warm conversation.

            Food & Beverage

The star of The Bungalow Kitchen by Michael Mina is its menu–elevated California cuisine made with seasonal, locally sourced ingredients. Chef Michael Mina and executive chef Joseph Offner will serve fresh seafood in both ice-cold and charcoal-grilled dishes, with shareable plates and late-night bites to satisfy guests’ cravings. Highlights from the menu include the tuna tartare, Garden Crudité Bowl, Dungeness Crab “Pop-Tart,” and the Lobster Pot Pie–Chef Mina’s signature dish made with truffle lobster bisque and root vegetables. Brunch selections will also excite the senses with dishes like Sweet Potato Pancakes and The Bungalow Wagyu Burger.

Handcrafted signature cocktails include The Bungalow Margarita, Espresso Martini, and the City Lights–made with chamomile-infused vodka, lemon, honey elderflower, agave and faba. A curated wine list of 150 bottles will have a selection dedicated to wines from Marin County, as well as a page to pair with Bolthouse’s favorite music.
