High Tech Hotels Taking Over the Market
High-Tech Hotels
Integrating technology into businesses has become a prime focus for many industries and is being especially embraced by the hospitality market. Hotels are getting creative in finding out new ways to give their guests the ultimate experience through integrating tech aspects into their stay. From smartphone check-ins to robot butlers, these high tech hotels around the world are breaking the norm of what a 21st Century hotel experience should be.
The W Singapore – Sentosa, Singapore
Dive into the pool at The W in Singapore and it’ll be music to your ears as their underwater speakers make sure you never miss a beat. LED lighting throughout the property ushers in a party-friendly atmosphere, and if you spring for their signature Extreme WOW Suite, you’ll get a private DJ booth right in your room.
Blow Up Hall 5050 – Poznan, Poland
No need to check into the front desk here—unlock the door to your room with a digital key sent via smartphone. Numerous digital, interactive art installations throughout the property make you feel like you’re a part of the artwork, including their “Blow Up” piece in the lobby that enlarges guests photos on a wall.
NH Hotel – Berlin, Germany
Holographic tech is the way to go at NH Hotel where a business meeting can be enhanced by projecting a person’s 3D image or work presentation in the conference space. If you’re feeling musical, you can also request a keyboard or guitar to be delivered to your room upon request.
Aloft Cupertino – Cupertino, California
You’ll get a one-of-a-kind experience at the Aloft Cupertino pool, where a robotic butler called Botlr will hand deliver your towel. The friendly device also has the ability to take elevator rides and will be your own personal room service making deliveries right to your room.
Loews Hotel 1000 – Seattle, Washington
Taking “smart” to the next level, Loews Hotel 1000’s rooms come with sensors to detect body heat, ensuring that you’re never interrupted by housekeeping. The smart mini bar alerts the front desk when it needs a re-stock, and two virtual reality golf courses in the hotel will give you the illusion that you’re right on the green.
hub by Premier Inn – London, England
The hub’s smartphone app will be the answer to your prayers when you stay at this London destination. You can adjust the room’s lighting, TV, air conditioning, and turn on the door’s ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign. A virtual reality element will even let you use your phone’s camera to show information about nearby restaurants and bars.
The Yotel – NYC, New York
This Manhattan property has its own stationed robotic arm, the Yobot, that stores luggage for guests in a wall of 150 lockers. To retrieve belongings, just type in a personal pin and see the Yobot work its magic knowing exactly where it’s stored. Their digital kiosk streamlines the check-in process and retractable motorized beds also easily help free up space in rooms.
