        Night Market 2024 is Back!

        For those looking to get their weekend started early, the Night Market will run every Thursday night, from June 6th through August 29th. The unstoppable Bungalow crowds are sure to appreciate a new reason to swing by and take advantage of an additional space to hang out along Ocean Boulevard.

        Street Eats & Casual Bites

        Running each week from 5-11pm, the Night Market will take on a different tone than the bar to attract families and foodies of all ages, looking for street eats at a fun summer activity. Picnic tables will be set up throughout as guests try different tastes from some of the best food trucks in the city. The lineup is looking strong, with Bootsy BBQ cooking up their famous off-the-bone smoked meats, House of Empanadas delighting palates with their secret family recipe, and Steamin’ Burger slinging their fan-favorite jalapeño-stuffed cheeseburgers. Other newcomers include the iconic seafood-specialists The Boiling Crab, the NY style slices of LA staple URBN Pizza, and Good Time Ice Cream holding down dessert. Returning vendors include local favorite Tacos 1986 and their Tijuana-style tacos, alongside some vegan delights from Secret Vegan Pizza.

        An Iconic Line-up of Events

        JUNE 6TH

        This year’s program of happenings is sure to go down as one of the best ever. Kicking off the festivities on June 6th will be none other than actor Jason Mamoa, and Breaking Bad star Aaron will be serving up drinks as guest bartenders. Paul will be pouring up his award-winning Dos Hombres Mezcal, while Mamoa will show off his new Meili Vodka, as well as a performance by his band, ÖOF TATATÁ.

        JUNE 27TH

        Tequila fans will get a chance to try Lalo Tequila, the passion project of Eduardo “Lalo” González, grandson of none other than the legendary Don Julio. 

        JULY 11TH

        July 11th will take the excitement up another notch, with a live DJ set from Grammy-award winning artist DJ Pee .Wee, aka Anderson .Paak. The party will be brought to you by Selvarey, his suave brand of rum, as well as the trendy Summer Water Rosé. The evening will be a ticketed event, with all proceeds going to Anderson’s creative charity, .Paak house. 

        AUGUST 1ST

        The fun doesn’t stop there, with another activation August 1st, courtesy of celebrity couple Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed. They will be bringing their hot new powdered supplements, The Absorption Co.

        AUGUST 15TH

        August 15th will be another big night, with a live DJ performance by James Kennedy, and some fresh libations from Kendall Jenner’s 818 Tequila, and Kylie Jenner’s canned Sprinter Vodka Soda.

        AUGUST 29TH

        Last but certainly not least, Actress Eva Longoria will be closing out the season, returning with her Casa Del Sol tequila on August 29th. It’s sure to be a party you won’t want to miss. 

        Activities for families and children are better and more varied than ever, and kids can look forward to an expansive play area featuring face painting and more, while parents enjoy a complimentary massage provided by Exhale Massage. Night Market is also 100% Dog Friendly, and proud to partner with Wags & Walk to bring a bi-monthly on-site meet and greet with adorable and adoptable dogs rescued from local shelters.

         

        Brent Bolthouse & The Bungalow

        Bungalow visionary Brent Bolthouse joined designers Studio Collective to open up the now iconic indoor-outdoor space in the summer of 2012. Since then, the beloved brand has expanded to include another location in Huntington Beach with additional venues in La Jolla and Long Beach scheduled to open by the end of the year. Guests flock to both of the current locations to take in the quintessentially Californian vibe while sipping drinks in a welcoming, beachy environment.

        Following the neighborhood-centric blueprint of The Bungalow and taking inspiration from farmers markets, The Night Market provides an ideal open-air setting between city and sea, where guests can relax and unwind with loved ones, celebrating the local essence of Santa Monica. “Night Market is truly an extension of The Bungalow’s community-based ethos. As The Bungalow celebrates a decade in Santa Monica, we wanted to evolve with our guests, many of whom now have families of their own.         Previous iterations of Night Market saw celebrity attendees like Cameron Diaz, Aaron Paul and Eva Longoria guest bartending, creating specialty cocktails with their brands Dos Hombres and Casa Del Sol for food and drink lovers alike, while Brody Jenner closed out the 2022 Night Market season with a special DJ set with his tequila seltzer, Mamitas. “Night Market gets bigger and better every year with new food vendors, live music, great drinks and even some surprise celebrity guests.” says Bolthouse, “Food is the ultimate connector and I wanted to create an event where families and guests of all ages can come together and enjoy each other’s company while eating some of the best food that LA has to offer. I can’t wait to have everyone enjoy their summer evenings with us at Night Market.”

        Bolthouse is also known for creating exciting events and is recently coming off the heels of the success of the annual Neon Carnival Coachella after party. The 2024 event included blowout live DJ sets, an airstream speakeasy, a themed ferris wheel and bumper car installations, and an unprecedented amount of drinks, dancing, and good times. Bolthouse has since succeeded in making Night Market a staple in the Santa Monica summer scene alongside the June Santa Monica Pride festival and the August Santa Monica Pier Twilight Concerts.

          Neon Carnival

          Known as the best party of the weekend, the annual Neon Carnival 2024 has been one of the most highly-coveted wristbands as the guest list filled with actors, musicians, socialites and industry insiders is one where you can’t buy your way in. The exclusive, invite-only event put on by nightlife guru Brent Bolthouse has blossomed into a mini-festival itself, with carnival rides, a ferris wheel and world-renowned music acts taking the stage.

          Neon Carnival’s 2024 event is its 13th installation to take over Desert International Horse Park in Thermal, CA. The night’s soundtrack will feature viral TikTok superstar DJ Hunny Bee as well as Vanderpump Rules star, DJ James Kennedy. Both are venerated performers known to keep the party raging with their high energy live DJ sets. They will be joining the absurdly cool headline event, Hip Hop sensation Anderson .Paak, who will be reprising his role as DJ Pee Wee, the DJ who spins vinyl and went viral. The Desert Soundoff happens in The Ace Hotel’s Amigo Room with a live DJ spinning all night. From April 15th-17th, Venice music venue Winston House will be joining in on the fun bringing another layer of cool, California energy to the Oasis venue in Thermal.

          HANJAN Day Club

          This holistic wellness brand will be hosting an invite only event from Friday, April 15th to Sunday, April 17th at a secret location in the desert. The party will offer perks like complimentary food, drinks, and plenty of music and dancing while guests get to try out the company’s selection of energizing hangover prevention products.

          MCM Presents Nylon House

          Nylon Magazine is known for throwing lively events filled with tastemakers in fashion, music and culture. Their Nylon House party on Friday, April 15th is expected to provide more of the same with live music from Peggy Gou, Layla Benitez and Deroos. Located at a private estate in Coachella Valley, this nighttime celebration is sure to live up to the brand’s stylish reputation.

          HBO Max The Flight Attendant Preflight Lounge

          Invited guests will get ready to take to the skies by attending HBOMax’s The Flight Attendant Preflight Lounge.           In celebration of Las Vegas’ newly renovated TAO Beach Club, this Coachella Valley pop-up is sure to deliver a lively experience. TAO’s classic, Bali-inspired atmosphere will come to life alongside the desert scenery for a tropical event to remember on Sunday, April 17th. The culinary talents from TAO Beach Club will be onsite serving up flavorful bites inspired by the brand’s signature, Las Vegas menu.

          Lo-Fi Aperitifs x Les Cactus Pre-Festival Pool Party

          Guests of this event will get to enjoy a day of afternoon revelry at Palm Springs’ eye-catching Les Cactus Hotel. The dreamy location is the perfect place for a pool party, with guests treated to synchronized swim performances alongside complimentary cocktails and nail art.           The biggest weekend in music means plenty of music industry parties for internationally known artists to let loose. Past events have been attended by Billie Eilish, Benny Blanco, Lil Dicky, Tyga and Jared Leto. Leonardo DiCaprio’s Palm Springs home will be the site of the celebration with past events sponsored by brands like Marriott Bonvoy, Lyft, and Heineken.

          Area 51 Party Hosted by Bella Thorne

          Bella Thorne’s Area 51 party in 2022 was an out-of-this-world experience for guests. The location, held at a gorgeous estate in Coachella Valley, was perfect for an extraterrestrial invasion featuring exciting performances by Diplo and Big Sean. Bella Thorne had a unique plan for her Alien Invasion party, allegedly intending to utilize a software called Beacon in the Galaxy to try and communicate with extra-terrestrial life and invite them to her party.

          One of Las Vegas’ newest nightclubs will be setting up a desert outpost during the vibrant weekend of festivities. Zouk will take over ARRIVE Hotel on Thursday night with live music from Honey, Pookie and Archer. Guests will party poolside at the alluring event presented by Resorts World Las Vegas.

          Day Zero

          Join production company London Alley for an event that will bring music and entertainment together to kick off a weekend of excitement. Ty Dolla $ign and Myles O’Neal are just a few of the featured performers expected to energize the crowd of partygoers. This invite only event will also highlight the release of a collection by NFT artist Artie, who will be doing an NFT giveaway to cap off the celebration.

          Disko Mirage

          Deep in the Desert

          The Southern California fashion brand Prism Boutique brings its styling to the desert for a weekend of pampering and shopping to prep for your adventure. Stop by on Friday for mini makeovers and facials or come in on Saturday for hair styling and lashes. The cocktails and refreshments will keep guests happy at this oasis for indulgence.

            “Coachellas most highly-coveted party wristbands”

            The carnival is produced by Jeffrey Best and Best Events with nightlife impresario Brent Bolthouse—the creative behind Bungalow Hospitality Group’s well-admired Bungalow bars in Santa Monica and Huntington Beach. The group has more recently opened dining venues The Bungalow Long Beach and The Bungalow Kitchen by Michael Mina Tiburon. His impact in the industry spans decades, leading his event company Bolthouse Productions to continuously impress with their creativity, detail, and knack for orchestrating a good time.

            Neon Carnival 2024 marks 13 years of partying hard in the desert, and the festivities show no signs of slowing down. On Saturday, April 13th, the immense Desert International Horse Park will be transformed into an enormous fun fair spanning the length of three football fields, complete with games, music, food and drinks, and the iconic Levis Ferris wheel. The scope and spectacle grow every year, solidly cementing Neon Carnival as one of Coachella’s Hottest Parties.

            Neon Carnival 2024 will bring back familiar favorites alongside new sights and sounds. The night’s soundtrack will feature viral TikTok superstar DJ Hunny Bee as well as Vanderpump Rules star, DJ James Kennedy. Both are venerated performers known to keep the party raging with their high energy live DJ sets. They will be joining the absurdly cool headline event, Hip Hop sensation Anderson .Paak, who will be reprising his role as DJ Pee Wee, the DJ who spins vinyl and went viral. The untouchable live performer will be bringing his horn player and drum kit with him on stage, which practically guarantees the evening will go down in history. In 13 years of getting down, Neon Carnival 2024 might be the most exciting lineup yet. 

            Levi’s will return as a sponsor with their iconic branded Ferris Wheel alongside Patrón El Alto, who will be serving up custom cocktails at the bars throughout the venue, as well as providing VIP table service, a first for Neon Carnival. Liquid I.V. will be returning with their signature bumper car installation, equal parts fun and photo op. Other sponsors include Ghost Energy, Nütrl Vodka Seltzers, Heineken, La Croix, Coca-Cola, French Bee Airlines, Tangle Teezer, and Path Water, returning for their 3rd year in a row.             Neon Carnival presented by Liquid I.V.

            In the early Neon Carnival days, the party was an even more exclusive indoor event at the Barker Hangar in Thermal, CA. It was a party fully-stocked with Hollywood elites as a private place to escape to after the festival with only a few-hundred guests on the invite list. The outdoor carnival aspect didn’t come into play until 2010, inspired by another of Bolthouse’s famous private parties held at Six Flags Magic Mountain. Each year the Neon Carnival has grown, with the event switching locations in 2018 to HITS Desert Horse Park, a larger space for an increased guest list of 8,000 attendees. The new guest list has expanded even further to include 10,000 attendees.

            A-List Attendees

            Past Neon Carnival events are well-known for drawing in a kaleidoscope of A-listers. It may be no surprise that attendees have included regular clubgoers like Drake, Justin Bieber, Rihanna and Paris Hilton, but when Hollywood royalty like Leonardo Dicaprio and Clint Eastwood also show up for the festivities, the carnival’s status is cemented as being the best of the best. Last year’s party brought Camila Cabello, Metro Boomin, and Lil Nas X, but if there’s one thing we know about Neon Carnival, the guests get more glamorous every year.

            The Neon Carnival is an invite-only event.

            The big question hopeful attendees have each year is, “How do you get a wristband?” Bolthouse cites close-knit industry relationships as being the number one source for the guest list. Invites go out to talent agencies, record labels, and the numerous nightlife connections Bolthouse has developed over the years. 

            The curated selection of invitees are given a time and place for advanced check-in where they pick up their wristbands in Los Angeles within the weeks prior to the event. The 2019 event marked the first year the check-in location was made to feel like a party itself, with a red carpet, photo station, complimentary beverages and a lounge space for guests waiting in line for their wristbands. The sale of knock-offs online are a given for an event of this prominence, but Bolthouse ensures that the official wristbands can’t be removed for resale. Entry for the priceless event can’t be purchased, where even the extremely limited number of bottle service tables are quickly bought up by invited VIPs. 

             

            Neon Carnival Access

            Invite requests are at the discretion of Bolthouse Productions and Best Events, with influencers and highly-followed Instagram accounts likely to receive priority. According to Bolthouse himself, anyone with a dream of waltzing into the event is best off getting to know him personally through one of his many bar and nightlife ventures.

            You won’t miss out on any Coachella acts as the Carnival is always held after the closing artist has ended. Neon Carnival has never been directly affiliated with the festival and has always been an event for post-Coachella, which has helped cultivate a friendship rather than competition between the two events.
