West Hollywood Extends Last Call Until 4am

Is West Hollywood Extending the Last Call Until 4am?

West Hollywood remains a bustling hotspot with a prominent nightlife scene. The hotels are glamorous, the clubs are extravagant, and there’s seemingly always something to do. WeHo is a neighborhood that’s always on the move, and there’s some good news for nightlife junkies. On Monday, June 27th, The West Hollywood city council voted to extend the city’s last call time to 4am, which would allow bars, clubs and restaurants to keep the party going, long into the night.

City Councilmember John Erickson says the biggest issue is making sure people can get home safely. “As a young person and young elected official, I see my friends out there way past 2 a.m., but also we have public safety concerns. We want to make sure people are getting home safely. And when people are leaving our bars and nightlife, they’re going into other cities so what do other cities think?”

There’s a compelling case to be made that not only is there a ton of money to be made for the neighborhood in alcohol sales, but bars being open late isn’t even a radical idea. Many major American cities have already pushed the window for late-night excitement, including New York, Chicago, Miami, and Las Vegas

Pending State Approval

The pilot program would still need to be approved by the state, but West Hollywood is not alone in their fight for epic nights. Several other California cities were on the docket, including San Francisco, Oakland, Fresno, Coachella, Cathedral City, and Palm Springs. City officials could choose to extend alcohol sales in certain areas, on given days of the week, or even just for special events, like San Francisco’s Outside Lands and of course, the ever-popular Coachella.

Should West Hollywood elect to extend the last call, it is sure to be an exciting time to be in Los Angeles.

    Watr at 1 Rooftop

With a stunning ocean view, a zesty Peruvian-Japanese menu, and frosé on tap, Watr is the peak of laidback Miami nightlife. The charming wooden deck is situated on top of the fabulous 1 Hotel in South Beach, and is the perfect place to cool down after a long day on the beach.

    Highbar

This 1970s themed hotspot at The DREAM Hotel is South Beach’s premier destination for nighttime revelry. Whether you’re partying in the infinity pool or getting bottle service in a private cabana, there’s a DJ dropping beats and no shame in dancing in your swimsuit.

    Sugar

The highest roof bar in Miami won’t let you forget that fact, with incredible views of East Miami to compliment their tasty and trendy cocktails. The lush rooftop terrace features a hand-carved wooden tiki bar where guests can enjoy Asian tapas, and the highest End of Miami’s party scene.

Serena at the Moxy South Beach

For al fresco patio dining and a killer margarita, Serena brings the charm of Oaxaca and Mexico City to South Beach with a laidback open-air rooftop terrace. The severely Instagrammable neon sign reads in Spanish, “last one and we’re leaving”. Put it on the gram before ignoring that advice completely, as Serena is sure to keep you around with delicious drinks and bites.

    Rosa Sky

The drinks are as colorful as the sunsets you’ll see at this moody rooftop lounge. Revel in the sleek modern design, low-slung seating, and loads of lights choreographed to the banging tunes of Rosa Sky’s program of live DJs. Experience Miami’s glitterin downtown from your table, or through the rooftop’s provided binoculars for an up-close look at the action.

    Ocho at Soho Beach House

This exclusive rooftop oasis is the crown jewel of Mid-Beach. Guests who manage to secure a spot are greeted to a luxurious rooftop pool, large daybeds and comfy lounge sofas, and one of the finest rooftop bars in Miami, with a host of well-crafted cocktails to enjoy.

    MILA

The dress code at MILA guarantees phenomenal photos at this South Beach rooftop. Uber-trendy and ultra-popular, the menu blends Japanese and Mediterranean influence, while the sexy decor is the perfect place to see and be seen. The cocktails are as elegant as the bar that serves them, with drinks like the Spring in Osaka (Suntory Japanese Whiskey, elderflower, lychee & club soda) being a must-try.

    Juvia

Juvia is potentially South Beach’s best spot for a date with a view. The French, Japanese, and Peruvian menu is a curious assemblage that goes great with Juvia’s collection of delicious cocktails. The cool breeze and cool digs are a real treat on a balmy South Florida night.

    Sky Yard

South Beach has a number of laid back rooftop bars, but none of them are devoted to pure wholesome fun quite like Sky Yard. The lush green space is packed with golf simulators, pool tables, ping-pong tables, air hockey, and more. It’s the ideal spot to grab a beer, grab some bites, and jam to live performances from a great lineup of DJs.

Terras at Life House Little Havana

Terras is Little Havana’s contribution to the finest rooftop bars in Miami, and the lush tropical plants, string lights, and fresh garden herb cocktails are a welcome addition. The menu inspired by Latin-American street foods is tantalizing, with small plates that can only be described as the taste of Little Havana.

      Where to Stay

Flying into Heathrow Airport can be an ordeal, so having a quality hotel is essential to easily luxuriate across the pond.

For design enthusiasts, The Goring is one of England’s Grande Dames, and in celebration of the historic building’s centennial, it underwent a full scale redesign. Four legendary English designers (Nina Campbell, Tim Gosling, David Linley, and Russell Sage) worked to bring their joyous vision to life, from the plush, sophisticated rooms, to the verdant private garden, to the delightful Dining Room at The Goring, which was recently awarded its first Michelin Star. To tie it all together, The Goring is situated across the street from Buckingham Palace, putting guests in the middle of the city’s rich history.

For travelers looking for something a little more recent, L’oscar is London’s most stylish new hotel. Lavish and boutique, the 5-star hotel is a gorgeous baroque-style gem in the West End of London, acclaimed for its sumptuously decorated bedrooms and detailed, almost theatrical decor. Guests can expect goose-down pillows, intricate marble bathrooms, and a host of indulgent options for dining and cocktails- service and amenities fit for English royalty.

Of course, there’s the royal family’s favorite hotel, Claridge’s. Since the hotel opened its doors in 1856, it has acted as a home base for royalty and celebrities alike, and has always stayed updated with modern design. Settle into a fabulous suite and toast your stay with complimentary champagne, before checking out Claridge’s captivating artspace. The art deco stylings of the hotel’s bar harken back to a golden age of bespoke cocktails and comfortable glamor, the spirit of luxurious London travel.

      Where to Eat

From historical hotspots to traditional afternoon tea, London has a diverse restaurant scene sure to satisfy any traveler.

Dean Street Townhouse is the epitome of the bohemian neighborhood of Soho, as well as where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had their first date. The interior decoration is sophisticated and welcoming, with a carefully curated collection of art, chronicling the evolution of London’s modern art scene. The delicious cuisine is an updated menu of traditional British food, with an emphasis on seasonal produce, sourced from across Ireland and the United Kingdom. The authentic menu even includes afternoon tea and Sunday roasts.

London isn’t exactly known for a wealth of West African food, but Chishuru is far and away the scene’s top dog. Richly complex and stunningly unique, Chishuru is a splendid introduction to the flavors of Nigeria, and the set-menus give guests a comprehensive tour of the region’s incredible cuisine. There isn’t another restaurant quite like it, and should be a serious consideration in any conversation about London travel.

Norma’s offers a Malaysian comfort menu from a tiny stall in the iconic Queensway Market. The hot soups and noodles are renowned for their authentic flavors, an instant staple of London’s underground food scene. If you’re looking for late-night takeout to enjoy in your fabulous hotel suite, Norma’s is the obvious choice.

      Where to Drink

There’s no shortage of charming cocktail bars in London Town, but it’s fair to say that there are a handful of standouts.

Authentique Epicerie & Bar is a cozy and friendly bar/wine seller with an unbelievable selection of wines, craft beers, and artisanal foods. The knowledgeable staff will go out of their way to find you the perfect glass, bottle, or pairing to soothe your soul after a long day of exploring London’s streets.

For a supremely stylish speakeasy, The Connaught Bar is the perfect place to rub elbows with London’s elites. The drinks are as fashionable as the decor, modern twists on English and Irish classics. Guests can feel like a real British aristocrat when their sparkling martinis are delivered on silvered carts by master bartenders.

Copeland Social is the place to be for a great sound system and hanging with friends. This hot hipster spot is always packed with energetic clientele looking for coffee, burgers, casual beers, and top-notch cocktails. The indoor-outdoor space is festive, welcoming, and effortlessly cool. Be sure to try the Peckham punch, a fruity ensemble with four different types of rum.

      Where to Shop

London is a serious design and fashion destination, and no trip is complete without acquiring some new threads.

Acclaimed fashion designer Erdem Moralioglu has opened his first standalone flagship store in Mayfair, and the sophisticated boutique is a must-visit for those looking to stay ahead of fashion trends. The two stories of vintage furnishings and witty drawings by Andy Warhold and Jean Cocteau are a veritable museum, and the clothes within are just as intriguing.

Jewelry designer Delfina Delettrez-heiress to the Fendi Fashion throne-has opened a store hosting her designs, handcrafted in Rome, displayed against malachite-print walls and antiques plucked from her childhood home. The treasures within make fantastic gifts, and are the perfect souvenir to remember your London travel experience.

In the heart of Chelsea, the bespoke LEMA displays 400 square meters of premier Italian interior design, a major player in contemporary hospitality and retail. If you’re in the market for fantastic furnishings, the UK store on King’s road is a real treat to visit.

Explore the Best Italian Restaurants in NYC

New York has no shortage of excellent Italian restaurants. Every New Yorker has a favorite pizza place, pasta spot, and red sauce joint in each of NYC’s diverse neighborhoods. Whether you’re looking for a buzzy newcomer, fancy white-tablecloth throwbacks, or just a solid slice, these are the best Italian restaurants in NYC for an authentic taste of The Big Apple.

              Carne Mare – Financial District

This warm, welcoming spot is a classic Italian chophouse offering prime cuts of steaks, fresh seafood, and Italian specialties, all with a view of the Brooklyn bridge. The wood-fired oven, wrap-around bar, and grand staircase spiraling up to a handsome dining area exude class, beckoning guests to an unforgettable dinner, lunch, or even brunch

              Photo: Zocha Group

              Carbone – Greenwich Village

Carbone is a scene ripped straight from Goodfellas. Regardless of what you think about the waiters’ maroon tuxedos and the tiny, exclusive dining space, this Greenwich Village classic has undeniably fantastic food. You’ll feel like a real mafia don dining on phenomenal pasta with red sauce, and sampling bananas foster made tableside (live flame included).

              Don Angie – Greenwich Village

Softly illuminated by candles and globe lights each night, West Village’s hottest restaurant is a romantic corner trattoria, serving updated Italian-American plates in its cozy dining room. Don Angie’s signature pinwheel take on lasagna is acclaimed for its flavor and texture, and is sure to please your palate alongside Italian gin and Campari-based cocktails. The wait times can be excessive, so it is recommended that guests book a reservation.

              Lucali – Brooklyn

New York City pizza is the subject of frequent debate, but Lucali’s regular appearance on local and national best pizza lists should speak for itself. This Brooklyn pizzeria has it down to the essence: a simple pie with fresh mozzarella and basil, add a few toppings if you feel like it. However the quality of ingredients and level of craftsmanship that goes into each pie results in a flavor and texture that is nearly unattainable outside of Mother Italy herself

              Via Carota – West Village

A fondness for Via Carota is almost an NYC residency requirement, as their soulful Italian plates have amassed quite a following in recent years. The legendary cacio e pepe is the perfect treat to pair with a late-night glass of wine, but for a larger meal the grilled chicken tagliatelle with prosciutto is a must try. The menu changes regularly, but when they’re available, the vegetable dishes are the star of the show.

              Lilia – Brooklyn

Spiaggia in Chicago put chef Missy Robbins on the radar, but Lilia in Williamsburg is what catapulted her to glory. Lucky diners might even encounter her near the flame-spitting grill, carving up succulent lamb steaks with roman spices. The casual brick and wood-lined interior is a cozy space to enjoy a classic plate of spaghetti, or the signature sheep’s milk ricotta agnolotti, drenched in a heady honey saffron sauce.

              Rezdôra – Manhattan

In 2019, Rezdôra established itself as one of the best Italian Restaurants in NYC, and the awards keep coming. The restaurant’s name translates to “head of household”, usually a nonna who hand rolls pasta, and that comes across in the food: traditionally prepared meat, fish, local vegetables, and Northern Italian wines that really feel like a home cooked meal from a visit to Italy.

              Dominicks – The Bronx

One the most classic Italian Restaurants in NYC, Dominick’s has been serving up well-sauced pasta for over 50 years. Located on the Bronx’s Arthur Avenue- known as the neighborhood’s Little Italy- the friendly staff are extremely knowledgeable about the host of classic Italian dishes on the lengthy menu. For an authentic red-sauce, stuffed artichoke, or solid sirloin steak, you can’t go wrong with Dominick’s. Beware however, they are cash-only.

Al Di La Trattoria – Brooklyn

This Park Slope eatery has remained unsurpassed in the neighborhood, and the food makes that fact obvious. The Northern Italian dishes like the black spaghetti with octopus ragú and braised rabbit are ethereal, almost impossibly delicious. The brick-walled, chandeliered dining area feels like a worldly Italian grandmother’s home, the perfect explanation for the truly magical taste of the Al Di La’s tagliatelle ragú.

              Il Buco – NoHo

What was once a Noho antique store is now a charming spot for pasta and seafood, and one of the best date-night spots in the city. Savor the warm country bread dipped in Umbrian, Ligurian, and Sicilian specialty olive oils, all produced exclusively for Il Buco. Whether you’re enjoying a delightful risotto or a seared filet of Alaskan king salmon, Il Buco’s wine list is one of the best in the city, guaranteed to have the perfect compliment to your meal.

              Elios – Upper East Side

For over 40 years this posh red-sauce joint has been serving quality pastas and chops in New York’s beautiful Upper East Side. It’s a buzzy, old school restaurant with a cozy presentation to take diners back to a simpler time. Be sure to grab at least one of 7 spaghettis.

              Emilios Ballato – Manhattan

The third owner of this storied establishment, Emilio Vitolo is a stalwart proponent of unfussy preparations of classic dishes. Hearty Rigatoni Bolognese in a thick sauce with beef, pork, and veal. Baked shrimp with simple garlic and bread crumbs. Emilio is not going to be surprising you with dishes you’ve never seen before, but with the quality of the food and service. If he doesn’t know your name by the time you are seated, he will by the time you finish your espresso.

              Bar Pitti – Greenwich Village

This cozy Italian trattoria remains a reliably tasty draw for locals and tourists alike. Owner Giovanni Tognozzi is always there greeting the regulars, unless he’s in Tuscany, stocking up on fresh olive oil. The menu might seem small, but the massive specials board is all you need. Everything is great, from the rabbit to the pastas. Order as much as you can, because this place is cash only.

              Nello – Upper East Side

This fashionable locale is emblematic of its home on Madison Avenue. Leisurely, cosmopolitan dining awaits visitors, who can sample a variety of fresh pastas, including ones made with Nello’s famous winter truffles. The ornate decorations, abundant flower arrangements, and immaculate mood lighting tell you everything you need to know- at its core, Nello is a place to see and be seen.

                What is Drip IV?

The process of IV therapy was previously only limited to athletes, celebrities and others with demanding schedules that called for them to maximize their energy. Only a select few had the ability to arrange for state-of-the-art treatments, which are highly effective in promoting cellular health. Drip IV Therapy offers convenient mobile IV treatments in markets all throughout Southern California.

Drip IV’s team of professional Registered Nurses visit clients and administer the infusions, with the full process taking as little as 45 minutes. Clients feel the effects and are able to continue their day with a boost of energy and vitality.

                Types of Treatment

The body’s need for nutrients becomes even more important when putting it through the day to day challenges of things like jet lag, drinking alcoholic beverages and stress. Delivering vitamins and nutrients directly into the bloodstream, an IV drip is far more effective than traditional means of ingesting supplements orally. Drip IV Therapy offers a range of IV treatments that each address different afflictions depending on the client’s needs.

One of their most popular treatments is the Hangover Drip, offering just what the body needs after a long night of drinking. The Hydration Drip offers a standard saline solution to help balance fluids and promote nutrient absorption. The Immunity Drip is also a popular option, helping to boost immunity with vitamins like B12, zinc, and magnesium. Clients can even get a Food Poisoning Drip to help clear out toxins in the body due to food poisoning. Customized IV solutions are also available based on a unique test analyzing the client’s white blood cells.

Covering Los Angeles, San Diego, Palm Desert, Orange County, Santa Barbara and more, their team is ready to help clients get back on their feet.

While many clients book for a home visit, you can also arrange for treatments during bachelor parties, corporate events, music festivals, retreats and a range of other events. The convenient booking process means you can book with as little as an hour’s notice, and have a Registered Nurse arrive to bring you to life with energy-boosting supplements.
